I am interested in photographic images that function as an instrument of sound. These images retain sound at their surface and appear to exist in the tension between producing and receiving sound. The imagery of spin, groundlessness, and vibration create unease as it continues out past the containers surface insisting itself as unlocatable. The tension inherent in the materialization of sound and image into body, into fixed material object, possess within itself the aurality of loss, creating a space for active resistance within its ability to resonate sound beyond body.
